Our lives can often feel so overwhelmingly full that we don’t have room to receive the blessings God is wanting to pour into us. Zeke and I were talking earlier this week about different things that God is walking us through in our family and our next moves for us when he said “I feel so empty of drive and passion for what’s before me, but I’ve never felt more near to the heart of the Lord.” And the Holy Spirit spoke to him through the song “Isaiah song” and the part of the song that stood out most was “your empty cause I like you that way.”
So if your feeling empty today – know that that’s no mistake. Your emptiness is just preparation for the filling. Make room today for the blessing. Rid your heart of things that don’t bring Him glory and honor and prepare for the things He wants to lavish on you – to fill you. Because we were never made to stay empty by any means, but there is great purpose in the seasons of emptiness so that we can appreciate the full ones. Let Him be the one who fills you today. Embrace the empty. Make room. Fullness is coming.
